About Sustain our Nation
Sustain our Nation (SoN) was a competition for young designers that sought to encourage innovation to address the issues of Ageing population, Health, Finance, Crime, Energy & Climate change, via the creation of social enterprises through design. The aim was to catalyse solutions that addressed these national issues at a local level, working with communities to deliver sustainable change.
SoN was keen to encourage designers to work with local stakeholders to identify which of the themes were most relevant to the local community and how these might be addressed in a sustainable way through design-led social enterprises.
To help to transform creative ideas into social innovation through social enterprise we provided case studies, design resources and enterprise planning that supported the designers in the realisation of their proposals.
