Competition rules and regulations
Entrants must be must be a design student or an associate (alumni) of an official competition participating university. Applications from individuals or teams of people will be accepted.

Official competition universities can submit a maximum of 20 entries in the competition. It is the decision of the individual universities as to who they select for entry into the competition.
Official competition universities will be competing in 4 regions, based on geographical locations are follows:
Region 1 - Scotland and North
Region 2 - Wales and Midlands
Region 3 - Southern
Region 4 - London
After preliminary shortlisting, 30 entries from each of the 4 regions will be selected to receive a critique from an expert judging panel. 8 entries from each of the 4 regions will be selected to attend their regional final.
Regional shortlisting takes place as follows:
Region 1 - Scotland and North - 25 November 2009
Region 2 - Wales and Midlands - 26 November 2009
Region 3 - Southern - 02 December 2009
Region 4 - London - 03 December 2009
No responsibility is accepted for entries that are illegible or lost, delayed or damaged when submitted on line with the official entry form. Entries not submitted in accordance with these rules, delayed, damaged, incomplete, altered or illegible will be disqualified.
Each regional final has £10,000 available in seed funding, which judges can decide to award to one entry or across a number entries. Any seed funding awarded will be based on proposed funding required within the entry’s business plan. Any seed funding awarded is to be used to set up the awarded entries enterprise/business
The winner of each regional final will be advised on the day of the regional final and will be invited to attend the national final.
Regional finals will be held as follows:
Region 1 - Scotland and North - 27 January 2010
Region 2 - Wales and Midlands - 28 January 2010
Region 3 - Southern - 03 February 2010
Region 4 - London - 04 February 2010
At the national final, the winner could be awarded further prize money – a maximum of an additional £10,000 to develop the winning proposition. Prize money awarded at the national final is in addition to any seed funding awarded at the regional final and is to be invested into the winning entry’s enterprise/business. The winner of the national final will be advised on that day.
Any seed funding and further prize money awarded at the regional and national final must be used for the winners’ enterprise/business in accordance with their business plan. The Audi Design Foundation reserves the right to request proof of payment/expense to ensure that the seed funding has been used for the winners' enterprise/business.
The decision of The Audi Design Foundation/judges at every stage of the competition is final. No discussion of any manner will be entered into.
If the seed funding and further prize money awarded at the regional and national final is unclaimed after reasonable efforts have been made to contact the winner(s), the Audi Design Foundation will be entitled to dispose of the seed funding and further prize money as it sees fit without any liability to the winner(s) for having done so.
No entries received after the entry dates (below) will be accepted under any circumstances.

The seed funding and the further prize money is non-transferable.
All entries must be submitted on line at www.sustainournation.org with an official entry form.
The Audi Design Foundation reserves the right to feature the name, photograph, the university name and location in respect of the regional and national winners.
The Audi Design Foundation reserves the right to alter, amend or foreclose the competition without prior notice.
Your personal data will be held by The Audi Design Foundation for the purpose of administering the competition and contacting the winners.
If there is a conflict in the terms and conditions to this competition with any other terms whatsoever attached to any other advertising material in respect of this competition these conditions will apply.
Entry to the competition signifies acceptance of all regulations (as maybe presented or amended from time to time) and these terms and conditions.
These rules and regulations shall be governed by the laws of England.
